Happy Hour: Take The Big Leap and Claim Your Genius

Wednesday, July 31 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time (8 p.m. EST).

Bring your curiosity to this bite-size intro to Genius based on Gay Hendricks’ best-selling book, The Big Leap. When you are in your Genius, whatever you are doing is so effortless that you don’t even know you are doing it (and you might mistakenly believe it comes easily to everyone).

You will learn:

  • The four levels of competence and why most of us resist our Genius
  • The common false beliefs that keep you stuck in things you do well (and are paid well to do), but you don’t really enjoy
  • Three steps you can take right now to spend more time in Genius

Befriending Your Personas

Date: July 10, 2019
Time: 6pm PST / 9pm EST

Positive personas bring you good attention and help you in school and work. Troublesome personas get in the way of what you really want, but often hide some genius quality that you could really benefit from knowing.

Getting trapped in personas is a gateway to drama and getting stuck on the victim, villain, hero cycle. Uncovering your tribe of personas (and you may have many of them!) helps you become more self-aware so you can access the gifts of persona from a place of presence.

In this class, you’ll learn:

  • How your personas and the patterns they represent have supported you throughout life
  • How to recognize when they are taking over your life
  • How to make friends with them and use their gifts
  • What makes your persona tick (with a friendly interview you can do anytime!)

We may even let our personas party together!

Powerful 1:1 Coaching

Why work with an executive coach?

You’re smart, engaged and you’ve got a hunch that there’s something more to being a better boss, team mate and partner in all your relationships. As your coach, I’ll assess where you are right now, where you want to be and how to move from self-imposed limitations to unimagined possibility.

I work with clients who are highly motivated for success in all areas of life and are unafraid of the discomfort that comes with challenging their personal and workplace norms.

I’ll support you in seeing the blind spots that are holding your back (what your teammates are reacting to) and help you become more effective at work and easeful at home.

You can count on me to be your ally in your growth and gently challenge your beliefs about what’s possible. We’ll bring mindfulness to your day through simple practices that become as easy and natural as brushing your teeth and create clarity without losing your competitive edge.

Contact me and let’s talk about whether we’d be a good fit to work together.

I’ve always been a successful professional, but coaching with Meg has boosted my career in ways I never imagined. I’m now fully seeing myself as the effective and inspiring leader I’ve always been. Meg has also helped me to effectively manage my energy for greater productivity and less stress, so I’m happier at work and at home. Nicole Butler

Learning with peers is a powerful way to become a conscious leader. I lead groups of 8-10 curious people who come together for monthly in-person and virtual meetings to practice the skills of conscious leadership, accelerate their learning, and share leadership challenges in a supportive and life-affirming way.

We draw on “The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership,” by Jim Dethmer, Diana Chapman and Kaley Klemp, as well as the work of Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks and other experts in the field of conscious leadership. We develop our conscious community through regular meetings, moderated online boards and strong personal bonds among group members.

I work with innovative companies and teams that value shared vision, trust, open communication and continuous learning. Through conscious leadership, these innovators learn the tools to create the number one ingredient of the highest-performing teams: psychological safety.

We’ll use “The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership” by Jim Dethmer, Diana Chapman and Kaley Klemp as our handbook for developing conscious culture within leaders and across teams. The best way to start is to bring me in for an off-site that covers the essentials of conscious leadership. Then we’ll focus on the hot problem for your team right now. That could include: stopping gossip, delivering effective feedback or developing candor, creating curiosity or even exploring how you all like to play! Day long offsites or multi-day programs introduce a framework of conscious leadership that allow people to more thoroughly learn the behaviors that create trust and build innovative and effective teams.

Understanding what motivates your team mates’ and drives their actions is an incredibly powerful tool for creating teams that are super connected and run smoothly and effectively.  The Enneagram, a system of nine ways of seeing the world, is a powerful tool for understanding yourself and your colleagues. I interview all of my individual clients to determine their type so I can more effectively coach them.  I also encourage leadership teams to harness this tool for deeper self-awareness. I also conduct Enneagram assessments for individuals and teams.
